I was in a car accident 2 years ago. I suffered whiplash, muscle tears, and herniated discs in my neck (among other things) and it's caused me to get arthritis in my neck now. I live in a very rural area, so health care around here isn't really the best... I've gone to physical therapy for my neck injuries, and it hasn't really made a difference. I had another MRI last week, and the doctor said one of the herniated discs in my neck is pressing into my spinal cord. I have a terrible tingling to the left of my spine 24/7 and it has been getting worse. It is SO distracting and uncomfortable, not to mention the pain in my neck from the dics protruding. The orthopedist made it seem like it wasn't really a big deal on the phone, and I go back to see him April 2nd. I'm sick and tired of him treating my injuries like they're nothing. I'm sick of being in pain all the time. My main concern- I suffered a wrist fracture 2 years ago that he ignored, and found out today (after injuring it again) that I have arthritis there now, too, because of his negligence. What should I do about my neck? Anyone had similar problems? What happened? Thanks so much for any advice.
